    Dolphins captain Jesse Bromwich's immediate future has been clouded after he was forced from the field five minutes into his side's heartbreaking 26-25 golden point defeat to the Canberra Raiders.

    Fears were rife when the 35-year-old, who retires at season's end, left Kayo Stadium with what appeared to be a pectoral concern; however, the club suggested it was more a rib setback that had been suffered.

    Dolphins coach Wayne Bennett has revealed he will be waiting for NRL head of football Graham Annesley to concede referee Adam Gee made the wrong call after a controversial golden point finish on Saturday night.

    In the opening stages of the extra period, Jamayne Isaako kicked what looked to be a matchwinning field goal.

    However, the on-field referee ruled forward Max Plath had obstructed Raiders players attempting to charge down Isaako's kick.
