'They love him in Canberra': Ricky set to ink long-term extension with Raiders

Ricky Stuart is set re-sign as head coach of the Canberra Raiders on a long-term extension.
"It is built around the current process the club is going through where they're trying to develop and generate that next gen player," Riccio said on Tuesday night.

journalist Dave Riccio, who revealed on NRL 360 that the 57-year-old will ink a four-year extension, which will be announced "within the next 24 to 48 hours."
Stuart was already signed until the end of 2025, but the new deal will keep him in the nation's capital until the end of 2029.

Ricky Stuart is poised to lead the Canberra Raiders into a remarkable 16^th season after the club offered him a deal to stay in the job until at least the end of 2029.
In a massive surprise on the eve of the club's 30-year premiership reunion, it can be revealed Stuart has all but agreed to terms on a four-year extension to his existing contract.
Stuart, already the longest-serving coach in Raiders history, had 18 months to run on his contract after re-signing in mid 2022.
