The round one results are in, and the verdict is brutal. Some of Canberra's best-known footballers have been knocked out in search of the city's greatest player.

Vote in the survey below for the quarter-finals round, which will see Ricky Stuart take on Brett Mullins, Laurie Daley go head to head with Mal Meninga, George Gregan taking on Joe Roff and Stephen Larkham up against George Smith.

This is the second instalment of a series to try to determine who Canberra's greatest footballer is, based on the teams from the 1994 Raiders and the 2004 Brumbies. We want you to have your say.

Playing to honour the Canberra Raiders' 1994 premiership team provides a massive boost, but it also builds added pressure.

The Raiders will celebrate the 30-anniversary of their third premiership when they host their opponents from that day, the Canterbury Bulldogs, as part of Magic Round at Lang Park next Friday.

Green Machine enforcer Joe Tapine said it was a boost to have the '94 grand final heroes in the stands watching on, but it also put added pressure on their shoulders to perform - having the likes of superstars Bradley Clyde, Steve Walters and Jason Croker there.

Manly Sea Eagles seeking redemption against Dolphins, Ben Trbojevic returns, injuries affect lineup.

The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles are ready to bounce back and show what they are made of against the Dolphins in Brisbane on Thursday night.

With second-rower Ben Trbojevic making his comeback after a hamstring injury, the Sea Eagles are looking to make a statement at Suncorp Stadium in round 10 of the Telstra Premiership.

Unfortunately, Nathan Brown and Lachlan Croker will be sidelined due to injury, but Karl Lawton will step up at hooker and Gordon Chan Kum Tong has been brought onto the bench.

After a disappointing 26-24 loss to Canberra at home last Friday, where they let a 20-point first half lead slip away, the Sea Eagles are eager to redeem themselves.
