    27-year-old Zac Hosking seeks rehab for dislocated shoulder to avoid surgery after meeting with specialist.

    Zac Hosking is hoping to avoid surgery with the Canberra Raiders second-rower to undergo rehabilitation on his shoulder for the next two weeks before reassessing.

    Hosking dislocated his left shoulder in the Raiders' 21-20 victory over the Gold Coast Titans on Sunday night.

    The 27-year-old met with a specialist on Wednesday, with a decision made to try to get him back on the park without needing to go under the knife.

    Newcastle Knights close to signing James Schiller from Canberra Raiders after agreeing to terms.

    The Newcastle Knights are close to announcing the signing of James Schiller after agreeing to terms with the young Canberra Raiders flyer.

    It is understood Schiller has informed Raiders coach Ricky Stuart that he has accepted Newcastle's offer to join them next year, on a deal for at least the following two seasons.

    The 22-year-old, who debuted in the NRL in 2022, has played in 14 top-grade games, scoring nine tries.

    Rising star Ethan Strange commits to Canberra

    Young star Ethan Strange re-signs with Raiders until 2028, secures five-eighth role for 2024 season.

    Young star Ethan Strange has re-signed with the Raiders on a new long-term deal which will see him remain with the club until the end of the 2028 season.

    Strange made his NRL debut in 2023, featuring in just one game as a centre. However, he has kicked off the 2024 season in his preferred role of five-eighth after winning the role vacated by Jack Wighton. He and recruit Kaeo Weekes were the two leading candidates to start at five-eighth in pre-season but Strange has since made the jersey his own.
