    18-year-old Chevy Stewart debuts as fullback for Raiders after injuries to Rapana and Horsburgh.

    18-year-old Chevy Stewart will make his NRL debut after being named at fullback for the Raiders clash with the Titans in Canberra on Sunday evening.

    The exciting teenager has impressed at NSW Cup level and will replace Jordan Rapana who is set to miss 6-8 weeks and will undergo minor surgery to repair a meniscus tear he sustained in last week's 41-8 victory over Parramatta.

    Rapana left the field early in contest and could hardly put any weight on his knee. He miraculously returned to the field in the second half and managed to play out the game despite looking sore.

    Stewart is only 18 years old but had a spectacular rise through the grades in Canberra last season to put him on the cusp of NRL selection in 2024. In the trials Stewart continued to impress and certainly didn't look out of place in his first taste of senior footy too.

    But after Rapana had scans on Monday for a meniscus issue in his right knee and was ruled out of this weekend's home game, Stewart has now been greenlit to make his NRL debut.
