    ‘Team WA’ outpost in Canberra opens for business – and lobbying

    Premier Cook opens WA Hub in Canberra for state government, businesses, and organizations. Decarbonisation priority.

    Premier Roger Cook has formally opened a "home base" where "Team WA" comes first in Canberra.

    WA Hub - dubbed the "WA Embassy" by the state opposition - will provide office space and meeting rooms less than a kilometre from Parliament House for use by state government representatives, WA businesses, peak bodies, unions, and not-for-profits.

    Cook for the first time detailed his government's new Canberra strategy, which listed WA's decarbonisation plan, clean energy infrastructure, defence industry, and the GST deal among its priorities.

    Zac Hosking expects his bench rotation to continue for at least the short-term, while the Canberra Raiders recruit could see himself staying in the capital long-term.

    After starring in his first two games for the Green Machine, Hosking came off the bench to take over from Raiders captain Elliott Whitehead in the second row last weekend.

    It's set up something of a three-way rotation, with Whitehead later coming on for fellow Englishman Morgan Smithies to finish the game at lock.

    "Two glasses of red and a 20-nugget meal from McDonalds," Rapana joked.

    "I pinch myself every single day," he added. "To still be able to run around at 34, playing at fullback too, I'm really blessed and grateful.
