The absence of gun playmaker Jahrome Hughes was sorely felt against Manly and the danger for Melbourne is that they fall too far out of the eight while the No.7 is sidelined.
All eyes will be on Origin stars Harry Grant, Cameron Munster and Trent Loiero from Melbourne and Gold Coast's Tino Fa'asuamaleaui and Jojo Fifita to see how they come through Game Three and then whether they back up in a crucial game for their clubs.

The 24-year-old former Knight looked comfortable and dangerous in her first outing for the Raiders in a 20-4 defeat of the Dragons at Kogarah on Saturday.
Having won a premiership (2023) and scored 25 tries on the wing in three years at Newcastle, Gallagher travelled to the national capital for a shot at the No.1 jersey having never played or trained in the position at the Knights.

'Very confident': Blues' Strange fit for Origin decider
Ethan Strange has recovered from his ankle injury and will play in the State of Origin decider, after intensive treatment and successful training sessions.

NSW are "very confident" in Ethan Strange's troublesome ankle after clearing the Canberra playmaker to feature in the State of Origin decider.
The Blues had set Monday as D-Day for Strange, who has been fighting to prove his fitness since rolling his left ankle at training on Thursday.
Strange, excellent on debut in the series opener, had undergone extensive treatment and been walking unassisted in NSW camp in recent days.

NSW Blues star Ethan Strange has been given the green light to play in Wednesday's State of Origin decider after an injury scare late last week cast some doubt over his fitness.
Strange went down at Blues training on Thursday with a rolled ankle, and was subsequently seen assisted with a moon boot the following days.
It threw chaos into the Blues camp, which prompted Laurie Daley to call an S.O.S to Matt Burton to be on standby if Strange couldn't play.
Although Strange has overcome the complaint, with Nine reporting that Strange has overcome the injury and Matt Burton will depart Blues camp in Kingscliff.
