The Dolphins are riding a three-game winning streak but must now navigate the Origin period without stars Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, Max Plath, Selwyn Cobbo and Thomas Flegler.
With five-eighth Kodi Nikorima also suffering an injury against the Rabbitohs, coach Kristian Woolf will have to dig deep into his squad to roll out a team that can keep the roll going.
The Raiders, meanwhile, have edge forward Hudson Young and five-eighth Ethan Strange away on NSW Blues duty so they will also be forced to shuffle the deck.

State of Origin 2026: Game 1 Team Lists
NSW and Queensland announce surprising teams for State of Origin 1, featuring multiple debutants and key player changes.

The New South Wales Blues and Queensland Maroons have confirmed their teams for State of Origin 1, with plenty of surprises.
For the Blues, James Tedesco has unseated Dylan Edwards at fullback, while Tolutau Koula will debut on the wing. He will be joined in the side by a number of other debutants in Addin Fonua-Blake, Victor Radley, Blayke Brailey, Ethan Strange and Casey McLean.
The Maroons have also made a change at fullback with Kalyn Ponga to replace Reece Walsh, while the injured Tom Dearden will be replaced by rookie Sam Walker at halfback. Queensland have also handed debuts to Jojo Fifita, Max Plath and Briton Nikora, while Ezra Mam is also a chance at playing from the bench.

The Toyota Forklifts Canberra Raiders JF Cup side went down 38-24 to the Silktails in Fiji over the weekend.
The Silktails took the Noa Nadruku Bowl home for the first time, after the Raiders held a 4-0 record going into Saturday's contest.
Canberra struck early, scoring two tries in the opening ten minutes through middles Jesse Milin and Luke Cannon to establish a 12-nil lead.

Fiji hit straight back with two tries of their own before a late first-half double for Milin as Canberra led 18-10 at the break.
However it was all one-way traffic in the second half with the Silktails piling on five tries to one to claim their second win of the season.
A big learning curve for the young Raiders side, they will get a fresh opportunity back at home this Saturday against the 13th placed...

Tedesco was the headline inclusion when NSW coach Laurie Daley announced his squad for the 27 May series opener in Sydney on Monday.
Daley has shown little regard for history after losing last year's series, picking six debutants - Tolu Koula, Addin Fonua-Blake, Blayke Brailey, Victor Radley, Ethan Strange and Casey McLean - in his 19-man squad.

Todd Payten, head coach of the North Queensland Cowboys, expressed his frustration over a controversial decision that led to Reuben Cotter's sin binning during the team's surprising victory against the Sydney Roosters at Magic Round on Saturday night in Brisbane.
Earlier in the match, the Cowboys had already played with 12 men for ten minutes when Matt Lodge was sent to the sin bin. In the second half, Cotter faced a similar fate after being deemed to have made contact with Sam Walker before he could play the ball in a critical try-scoring moment.
Although a penalty try was not awarded, the officials opted to send Cotter to the sin bin.
Payten commented, "I think if you slow it down like they do it is very hard to come up with the right call."
