Canberra coach Ricky Stuart says he's had to throw a team together for their encounter against Gold Coast, with fullback Kaeo Weekes a chance to suit up at five-eighth.
The Raiders face the Titans on Saturday afternoon and are hoping to ignite their NRL season, having won just three of their opening eight games.
But Stuart's opportunity to pick up two much-needed points suffered a blow when five-eighth Ethan Strange didn't get through training on Thursday because of an ankle injury.
It has heaped further pressure on the side's depth, with Noah Martin (ankle), Zac Hosking (concussion), Josh Papali'i (calf), Hudson Young (suspension) and Xavier Savage (ankle) also out for the clash in Robina.

Canberra coach Ricky Stuart has urged his good mate Craig Bellamy to put himself first as the rugby league community wraps its arms around the Melbourne coach following the shock news that he is suffering from a neurological degenerative condition.
Stuart and Bellamy have known each other since their playing days in Canberra and the pair remain close friends despite often finding themselves on opposing sides in the coaching ranks.
Stuart revealed that he had known about Bellamy's health battle for three or four weeks, and urged the Storm mentor to prioritise his own needs.
"I know he's getting very good advice (and has) good people around him," Stuart said.
"He's got a beautiful family, so it's now time for Craig to really care about Craig and put himself first."

Canberra coach Ricky Stuart has thrown his support behind his good friend Craig Bellamy after the Melbourne mentor was diagnosed with an unspecified neurological degenerative condition.
Bellamy will remain as the Storm coach for the immediate future after the club revealed last night that the 66-year-old underwent tests and was diagnosed with the disorder.
Melbourne did not provide any further details of the diagnosis.
Stuart and Bellamy are two of the NRL's closest coaches, having played for the Raiders in the late 80s and early 90s, including the 1990 grand final win over Penrith.

In order to break into the top eight, you need finals teams from last year to fall out, so could we be seeing four new teams make it into the playoffs this year?
So far we have watched last year's grand finalists fall to second last, the minor premiers only rake in two wins, and the fourth-placed Bulldogs drop four losses.
On the flip side, the Wests Tigers and Rabbitohs are two of the league's scariest attacking sides, while North Queensland and Manly are showing new-found resilience.
Few would've believed in the pre-season that the Tigers, Rabbitohs, Cowboys and Sea Eagles would all be sitting above the Sharks, Bulldogs, Raiders and Storm after Round 8.

The Jersey Flegg Cup will kick off the day at 12:30pm in an exciting match between the Raiders and the Roosters.
The Canberra side are currently eighth on the ladder and are travelling up to Sydney to meet the 12th-placed Roosters on their home turf.

The Raiders will be looking to bounce back from their loss against the Wests Tigers last week or risk losing their current position in the Top Eight.
Meanwhile, the home side have conceded six losses so far this season, claiming victory only once against the last-placed Manly Warringah Sea Eagles.
