    CRRL Announce Teams for Westpac Blues Tag Gala Day

    CRRL announces teams for Westpac Blues Tag Gala Day on September 27 in Sydney.

    The CRRL are excited to announce their representative teams for the upcoming Westpac Blues Tag Gala Day, taking place on Saturday 27th of September in Sydney. 

    In a competition which will see teams from all across NSW and Western Australia take on each other, the Canberra Region Rugby League will be represented by an Under 16s and Opens team, with the tournament to take place at St Mary's Leagues Stadium. 

    The Under 16 have been placed in Group A and will take on teams from North Sydney, Group 16 South, Group 11 and Group 10, whilst the Opens team will compete against St George, Central Coast and a side from Western Australia.

    It's George Tooke Shield Grand Final Day tomorrow, with the Harden Hawkettes facing the Crookwell Green Devils in the Ladies League Tag, whilst the Bungendore Tigers look to defend their title against the Harden Hawks who are looking for Grand Final Redemption.

    Bungendore Tigers aim to defend their title against Harden Hawks in the Grand Final.

    The 2024 reigning premiers - the Bungendore Tigers will look to retain their crown this weekend as they host the Harden Hawks at Mick Sherd oval in the 2025 Blumers Lawyers George Tooke Shield Grand Final.

    After a gruelling campaign, it was the Tigers who finished on top after claiming the minor premiership by the skin of their teeth.

    After Rule 25 was enacted - the rule setting out the procedure for breaking ties when teams finish level on competition points and points difference - Bungendore edged out the Boorowa Rovers by virtue of their points difference percentage to claim top spot and waltzed through to the semi-finals.
