The ACT claimed the Inaugural LCA NRL Wheelchair Championships in dominant fashion last weekend on the Gold Coast.

Boasting the best defensive record and blistering attack, the ACT were a force to be reckoned with throughout the tournament, going through undefeated. 

A comprehensive 52-4 victory against New South Wales set the tone for a strong weekend, with James Hill scoring a hat-trick and Zach Carl a double. 

The ACT secured their second win by the same margin of forty-eight as they kept the Affiliated States to nil, before a 34-8 win against Victoria ensure they finished the first day undefeated.

Cath Welch can only marvel at how far things have come since she first pulled on a Jillaroos jersey, leading out her team for an international match in Fiji in 1993.

This year, the Jillaroos are celebrating their 30-year anniversary, with the first fully recognised Test match taking place against New Zealand on July 1, 1995, at Lidcombe Oval.
