    Bushrangers End Warriors Season to Advance to CRC Preliminary Final

    The Tuggeranong Bushrangers beat West Belconnen Warriors 30-24, advancing to the preliminary final.

    The Tuggeranong Bushrangers have advanced to the Canberra Raiders Cup Preliminary final in a tough and gritty 30-24 showing which sees the West Belconnen Warriors exit the finals.

    Despite being down at half time, the Bushrangers came out firing in the second half scoring 20 unanswered points which sees them book a spot with the Queanbeyan Kangaroos in next weekend's preliminary final.

    The Warriors were the first team to strike inside the first three minutes with a cheeky grubber kick into the in-goal with Brendon Withers jumping on the ball to give them a 4-0 lead.

    With the help of a penalty, the Bushrangers charge upfield for their first opportunity in the match.

    Woden Valley Rams won 16-4 against Yass Magpies, advancing to KFS Preliminary Final.

    The Woden Valley Rams have advanced to the Katrina Fanning Shield Preliminary Final with a 16-4 victory against the Yass Magpies. 

    Despite trailing early in the contest, the Rams produced a sixteen to nil second half to run out winners and set a date with the West Belconnen Warriors next weekend. 

    It was a nervous start to the contest for both sides, as they looked to settle into the grind of the elimination final. 

    The opening fifteen minutes of the match were played between the twenty-meter lines of both teams, as strong defence caused a high incompletion rate.

    Belconnen United Sharks defeated West Belconnen Warriors 28-10, reaching their first Katrina Fanning Shield Grand Final.

    The Belconnen United Sharks have defeated the West Belconnen Warriors 28 - 10, booking a spot in the Katrina Fanning Shield Grand Final. 

    A twenty point to nil first half ensured that the Sharks will feature in the KFS Grand Final for the first time in their club's history. 

    A penalty for an illegal strip in the opening set of the game, provided the Sharks with an early opportunity attacking in the Warriors half. 

    It was an opportunity they took full advantage of as Kelly drifted across the field and dropped Leilani Raappana underneath who burned the fullback to score the opening try of the game.
