Raiders Finalize Long-Term Deal with Sasagi

Simi Sasagi is close to finalizing a multi-year contract with the Canberra Raiders.

    LeagueNews.co

A new long-term agreement between the Canberra Raiders and Simi Sasagi is reportedly "all but done," with Sasagi poised to become the latest player to secure a multi-year contract, ensuring his stay in the nation's capital.

In recent years, the Raiders have undertaken a significant roster overhaul, bringing in numerous promising talents while parting ways with some veteran players, such as Jack Wighton and Jordan Rapana.

Sasagi, who joined the Raiders last season after playing for the Newcastle Knights, has demonstrated his versatility by successfully filling various roles, mainly in the back-row and center positions.

'All-but done': Raiders lock in another young gun

The Canberra Raiders have secured Simi Sasagi for two more years, reinforcing their young talent.

    The Canberra Times

Call him "Mr Fix-It" or the "Swiss Army Knife", but whatever it is the Canberra Raiders have moved quickly to lockdown the increasingly important Simi Sasagi for another two years.

Sasagi's extension is "all-but done", continuing the Green Machine's re-signing spree as they move to keep their plethora of young guns.

It's the perfect boost, just hours before the Raiders look to bounce back from last week's loss against the Manly Sea Eagles at Canberra Stadium on Friday night.

The Canberra Raiders will learn more from a tough loss than they did some easy wins

The Raiders' Round 23 loss may inspire their NRL premiership victory after two winning streaks.

    The Australian

If the Canberra Raiders go onto to win the NRL premiership, they'll look back on their shock Round 23 loss to St George Illawarra as a major factor.

I believe it will be the defeat to push them in the direction their football must go.

Canberra have enjoyed a long winning streak, actually they've had two - a five-game run of victories early in the season before a loss to Canterbury, and then nine straight after that.

An amazing feat and one of which club, coach and player must be proud.
