Josh Papali'i is cleared to play in his farewell match for the Raiders against the Broncos, marking his 341st NRL game.

    The Canberra Times

Josh Papali'i, his teammates, coaches and Canberra Raiders fans can breathe a sigh of relief.

The departing veteran forward has been cleared to play for the Green Machine against the Brisbane Broncos on Friday night in the final Raiders home game of the season, which doubles as Papali'i's Canberra farewell.

Papali'i was put on report in the Raiders' 24-20 victory over the Cronulla Sharks on Saturday for high contact, but the club great did not appear on the match review committee charge sheet on Sunday.

The Bruce fixture is set to be the 34-year-old's 341st NRL game and this week Papali'i is expected to provide more clarity on his next move after he leaves Canberra this season to either play on elsewhere, or retire.
