We love the mighty Canberra Raiders
The Canberra Raiders have given Jack Wighton everything. And he's given his all for the Green Machine.
There's no bad blood. He's not looking for a move to warmer climes. He's just exploring his options.
Speaking for the first time about his future, Wighton told The Canberra Times he was itching for his return from a two-week suspension - against the St George Illawarra Dragons at Canberra Stadium on Sunday.
A famous name and a familiar pathway lie at the heart of the Canberra Raiders' next two NRLW signings.
Mackenzie Wiki, the daughter of Raiders legend Ruben Wiki, and England international Hollie-Mae Dodd will be part of the Green Machine's maiden NRLW season.
Twenty-one-year-old Wiki will follow in the footsteps of her father, who played 224 games for the Raiders - including the 1994 premiership.
Canberra are riding high after their famous upset of Brisbane, but coach Ricky Stuart has a pointed message for his players: "Good teams do that every week".
The chance to back up their huge result comes on Sunday when they host under-fire St George Illawarra in the nation's capital, where they start as warm favourites.
Not only do the Raiders have the momentum of their 20-14 win against the previously undefeated Broncos, but they also get back five-eighth Jack Wighton, prop Joe Tapine and winger Nick Cotric.
