Ethan Sanders, Canberra's new halfback, has excelled in his NRL debut season, leading with a match-winning field goal and two try assists in a recent victory.

When Ethan Sanders is searching for inspiration to spark his NRL game, he only has to draw on memories of his predecessor.

Canberra's halfback has been one of the most scrutinised No.7's this season after he was parachuted into the jersey when Jamal Fogarty departed for Manly.

It hasn't taken him long to settle into the playmaking position despite only featuring in four first-grade games of football before round one.

Siale Faeamani injured his MCL and will miss 3-4 weeks, having scored four tries in eight NRL games.

    Zero Tackle

The Gold Coast Titans have confirmed rising star Siale Faeamani will be sidelined following an MCL strain that was sustained against the Canberra Raiders last weekend.

The Tongan winger will miss three to four weeks of action as he recovers from the knee complaint.

Faeamani made his NRL debut in Round 1 against the Cronulla Sharks after an impressive preseason, with coach Josh Hannay rewarding him with a starting spot.

He has become a reliable gun in Hannay's backline, scoring four tries in the eight appearances in the top grade before injury.

Canberra Raiders' Joe Roddy has a broken hand, sidelining him for at least a month amid a growing injury list.

    Zero Tackle

Canberra Raiders forward Joe Roddy has been added to the club's growing injury list, with a broken hand to sideline him for at least a month.

The second-rower, who debuted at the back-end of last year and has been impressive with each effort in first-grade could miss as many as six weeks with the injury which the Raiders have not confirmed whether he will need surgery for or not.

His loss is immediately offset for this weekend's clash with the Penrith Panthers by the return of New South Wales State of Origin candidate Hudson Young, but the Raiders depth is being tested as the middle of the season approaches.

Noah Martin is currently missing after injuring both ankles in Round 8s game against the Wests Tigers, while Zac Hosking is out indefinitely with concussion-related issues.
