    Canberra are set to unleash what could be one of the next stars of women's rugby league by signing Wallaroos forward Grace Kemp for the next two NRLW seasons.

    The 21-year-old ACT Brumbies representative is expected to make an impact on the competition and is in the mould of cross-code star Millie Boyle for her power and skill on the field.

    Former NRL champion Laurie Daley, who played for the Canberra Raiders, was moved to tears upon hearing about the bullying Parramatta halfback Jake Arthur faced from a segment of the Eels fanbase.

    Arthur, who is the son of Parramatta coach Brad, has been accused of only being picked due to nepotism.

    The abuse reached a boiling point on Saturday in Canberra when the Eels lost to the Raiders with Arthur in the halves, replacing the concussed star Mitch Moses.

    Talk about dedication. Grace Kemp is giving up the chance to play for her country to be part of Canberra Raiders history - in a game she's never played.

    Kemp was one of the two latest Raiders NRLW signings, along with Black Fern Cheyelle Robins-Reti, announced on Wednesday.

    She could've been in camp with the Wallaroos, preparing to play Fiji at the Sydney Football Stadium on Saturday, but instead she's getting ready for her first NRLW pre-season - which starts Monday week.
