Hip drop confusion crept into Saturday night's Raiders-Eels clash with what seemed an obvious offence from Parramatta centre Bailey Simonsson not punished by a sin bin.
With four minutes to go in the first half, Simonsson produced what appeared a hip drop tackle on Raiders winger and former teammate Jordan Rapana.
The referee - having been given a message from the bunker - stopped play and placed the Eel on report but opted not to send him to the bin.
