We love the mighty Canberra Raiders
Canberra Raiders prop Joe Tapine hopes Jarome Luai didn't know Selwyn Cobbo was unconscious when he was standing over him and taunting in the State of Origin decider - because that would've been "pretty harsh".
Tapine said he would've reacted exactly the same way his Raiders teammate Josh Papalii did - the Queensland enforcer was one of the first to confront Luai for his abuse of a prone Cobbo.
The Queensland winger was stretchered from the field and played no further part in the game.
It's been seven years since the Melbourne Storm last lost three games in a row. No wonder Ryan Sutton's expecting a fiery clash.
Especially since the Canberra Raiders were coming off a tough loss of their own against St George Illawarra in Wollongong two weeks ago.
The Raiders lock was expecting a tough battle in Melbourne on Sunday, with the Green Machine sitting one win outside of the top eight.
As we edge closer to the date that players can test themselves on the transfer market, Raiders revelation Joe Tapine says he’ll let his footy do the talking.
After gaining renown over the past few years, Tapine has reached a whole new level in 2022. He currently leads the NRL in post-contact metres and has also run for more metres than any other prop in the competition.
Despite his rising profile over recent months, Tapine has said he hasn’t given his options a second thought so far this year.
