Great’s damning call on Madge’s Broncos; why NRL must ban Panthers trainer — Crawls

A year later, Maguire faces player frustrations after losing a 14-nil lead.

    Fox League

This time last year Michael Maguire was gearing up to coach NSW to an historic State of Origin series win.

What is a surprise is that just 10 rounds into the new season there are already rumblings some players are growing increasingly frustrated with Madge's coaching style after
    bombing a 14-nil lead against a severely-depleted Rabbitohs.

That ultimately played a huge part in Madge being head-hunted to replace Kevin Walters as Broncos coach.

  • 'They fear it may be fractured': Potential big injury blow to Raiders star

    David Polkinghorne

Matty Nicholson may have a serious ankle injury, potentially sidelining him until round 20. Scans pending.

    The Canberra Times

The Canberra Raiders are fearful Matty Nicholson could have suffered a fracture and a syndesmosis injury to his left ankle, which could rule him out until round 20.

Nicholson suffered the injury in the dying minutes of their heart-breaking 32-20 loss to the Canterbury Bulldogs at Canberra Stadium on Saturday.

The England international, who has been a revelation since joining the Raiders in the off-season, will go for scans on Monday with more expected to be known that afternoon.
