Des Hasler has encountered a roster hell as the Titans weigh up a mass clean-out to transform Gold Coast into a genuine NRL premiership contender.

The Titans were tipped to break a three-year finals duck under Hasler this season following three consecutive bottom four finishes.

Jayden Campbell injured ankle, out of game, severity unknown. Syndesmosis injury speculated, could be 2-3 months recovery.

The Gold Coast Titans have confirmed Jayden Campbell has suffered an ankle injury and will miss this weekend's game with the Canberra Raiders, but the severity is yet to be confirmed.

The Titans removed both Campbell and Fifita from their 19-man squad at the 24-hour teams update on Saturday afternoon amid speculation Campbell has suffered a syndesmosis injury.

Syndesmosis wasn't explicitly used by the Titans in their update, but if the injury is proven to be as expected, it would leave him sidelined for a period of anywhere between a couple of weeks and three months.

Hudson Young has not yet tasted victory playing a State of Origin game, but that could be exactly why Blues selectors look his way in the 2025 series according to a NSW legend.

Young is flying for the Canberra Raiders right now. The Maitland-born forward has shown his penchant for scoring with five tries in six matches, he's been an offload machine and is boasting a career-high average of 135 total metres a game.
