Savelio Tamale rewarded for good form, Xavier Savage returns, Trey Mooney joins Raiders side.

Savelio Tamale has been rewarded for his red hot form at the Canberra Raiders, cementing his spot on the wing even as Xavier Savage returns from suspension.

The Raiders made two changes to their side ahead of an away game against the Manly Sea Eagles on Sunday.

Savage is back on deck having served a one-game ban for a dangerous contact in Vegas, while young prop Trey Mooney was greenlit for a bench role with forwards Joe Tapine still suspended and Zac Hosking out for up to six weeks (broken hand).

Luckless Canberra Raiders forward Zac Hosking has been ruled out for up to six weeks after having surgery to repair a broken bone in his hand.

In a blow to the Raiders' perfect start to the season and Hosking's hopes of putting his injury woes in the rearview mirror, the versatile back-rower has been sidelined again and will be missing for at least the next month.

The 28-year-old has been plagued by injuries since joining the Raiders last year. He played only 10 games in his debut season for the club before his year ended prematurely, needing shoulder surgery.

Record-breaking crowd of 18,884 at Raiders' first home game with concurrent Skyfire event, biggest since 1999.

Concurrently running with Skyfire didn't stop a record-breaking 18,884 people attending the Raiders' first home game at GIO Stadium Canberra on Saturday 15 March.

It is the biggest first home game crowd since 1999.

"Thanks to all the fans who came to support us on Saturday night," the Canberra Raiders said.
