Rugby player Jamal Fogarty visited the Grand Canyon and enjoyed a helicopter ride in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas: He makes a living off 120-kilogram monsters running at him, but Jamal Fogarty wasn't too keen about having nothing but glass between himself and a 240-metre drop.

The Canberra Raiders halfback took part in the NRL's promotional trip out to Skywalk at the Grand Canyon West on Thursday.

He and wife Kahlia enjoyed a helicopter ride over Las Vegas before crossing the desert to one of the iconic parts of the United States.

When you've won two, three, or - In Penrith's case - four premierships in a row, is there a danger you'll become the biggest threat to your chances of winning it again?

I would never ridiculously suggest winning premierships could ever get boring, but after you've strung a few together can the process get a bit mechanical, at least, and eat into your intensity that way?

Fogarty admits brawl distraction, focusing on game against New Zealand Warriors, awaiting NRL investigation.

Las Vegas: Jamal Fogarty admits the late-night brawl was a distraction when it first broke, but the Canberra Raiders halfback says they've put it behind them and the focus is squarely on the New Zealand Warriors.

Fogarty said it was "perfect" that Hudson Young and Morgan Smithies had owned their mistake - a drunken wrestle in the hotel lift after a night out.

The NRL integrity unit is investigating the incident, which happened on the Raiders' first night in Las Vegas, but there won't be any sanctions until they return home from the game at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday.
