Jordan Rapana, 34, seeks multi-year NRL deal but time running out, weighing one-year offer.

Jordan Rapana is adamant he has more to offer the NRL and any overseas club who's willing to take a multi-year risk on a 34-year-old winger, but admits time is running out for his hopes of a two-year deal.

The Canberra Raiders workhorse is stuck in a sort of contract limbo as he puts all of his energy into helping the Green Machine chase a finals berth in the last five games of the regular season.

On one hand he has a one-year offer from the Raiders, which the club is happy to keep on the table for as long as it takes Rapana to make a call on his future. The catch is it's for one year only.

Canberra celebrity supporter vows to return to stadium despite fearing for his life after attack.

Defiant Canberra celebrity supporter Simon Tayoun has vowed to return to Belmore Sports Ground next season - even though he admits fearing for his life as he was attacked by Bulldogs fans on Sunday.

Tayoun - born and raised in war-torn Lebanon - says he has never experienced the fear he felt as a group of Canterbury supporters allegedly hit him, pushed him to the ground and abused him after Sunday's game.

"They did that to me after they won - had they lost, I think they may have killed me," Tayoun, aged 59, told Wide World of Sports.
