'Nothing can stop me': Raiders drummer sends message to Bulldogs thugs
Despite attack, Simon Tayoun remains loyal to Canberra Raiders, plans to return to Belmore. Shattered but supported.

It will take more than getting hit in the head with a stick, while being surrounded and intimidated by Bulldogs supporters, to stop Simon Tayoun from supporting his beloved Canberra Raiders.
And the man known as the Raiders drummer has vowed he will return to Belmore in the future - despite the ugly scenes that occurred after the Canberra-Canterbury game on Sunday night.
Tayoun was left shattered by the incident, but the well-wishes he received from the rugby league community - including a phone call and apology from Bulldogs chief executive Aaron Warburton, as well as messages from the Raiders club and players - lifted his spirits on Monday.

'I would have left in an ambulance': Raiders fan feared injury at hands of Belmore mob
Canberra Raiders drummer attacked by Canterbury fans, feared serious injury if Bulldogs lost the match.

A well-known Canberra Raiders drummer who says he was struck in the head and abused by Canterbury fans after Sunday afternoon's match at Belmore feared he could have been seriously injured had the Bulldogs lost.
"I would have left that ground in an ambulance," Simon Tayoun told this masthead.
Video footage emerged online of Tayoun, 59, being surrounded by up to a dozen fans wearing Bulldogs colours on Burwood Road following Canterbury's 22-18 victory over the Raiders.
The mob verbally abused Tayoun while one fan tried to drag him down to the ground as he was holding the heavy drum he takes to every Raiders match.

Raiders give Horsburgh permission to talk to other clubs
Horsburgh closer to leaving Raiders after permission to talk to other clubs granted.

Corey Horsburgh's release request from the Canberra Raiders is a step closer to happening after he was given permission to talk to other clubs.
Horsburgh has had a falling out with Raiders coach Ricky Stuart and was given permission by the club to explore his options for next season on Monday - despite being contracted to the Green Machine until the end of 2027.
The 26-year-old has yet to speak to any clubs, but a few names have already popped up - St George Illawarra, the Dolphins, the Brisbane Broncos and Wests Tigers all potential suitors for the Queensland prop.
