    Canberra Raiders set to play in Las Vegas NRL season-opener, promises bigger event.

    Put in your annual leave, pack your best Raiders merch, and get ready to fly across the Pacific Ocean, because the Canberra Raiders are officially locked in for next year's NRL season-opener in Las Vegas.

    Following the success of the first edition, the NRL announced on Tuesday evening that the Raiders have secured their spot to play in the Sin City spectacular against the New Zealand Warriors on March 1. The Penrith Panthers will also face the Cronulla Sharks.

    The NRL have revitalised the concept in its second year promising a "bigger, bolder and better" rugby league showcase to be broadcast live to a "massive" global audience.

    Cleary’s Penrith to spearhead Las Vegas quadruple-header in 2025

    Nathan Cleary has been to Las Vegas to watch the UFC and ice hockey, but says he will be living out a childhood dream of playing in the US with Penrith to be part of the main act at Allegiant Stadium.

    The NRL on Tuesday confirmed the Panthers and Cronulla Sharks will cap a four-match schedule, which also includes a Super League game between Wigan and Sam Burgess' Warrington, and a women's Test between Australia and England. The Raiders will also host the New Zealand Warriors.

    Cleary was envious when he watched the Sydney Roosters, Brisbane, South Sydney and Manly take part in the inaugural Vegas venture at the start of this year.
