    Stefano Utoikamanu has assured Wests Tigers fans he won't exit the club before the end of the season - but admits he's unsure if he will remain at Concord beyond that.

    Sunday's opponents Canberra are one of at least four clubs ready to make a play for the highly-rated front-rower.

    The Tigers' hopes of retaining Utoikamanu were dealt a blow at the start of the week when he was again overlooked by Blues coach Michael Maguire. Utoikamanu needed to play at least two Origin games this year to activate a clause in his contract that would keep him at the club.

    Canberra coach Ricky Stuart has belted the NSW Blues over their treatment of hard-working back-rower Hudson Young.

    The Raiders stalwart was left out of Michael Maguire's squad for State of Origin game two after playing just 22 minutes of NSW's 38-10 pummelling by the Maroons.

    He didn't light the world afire in his cameo, but there was little more the 26-year-old could have done in an undermanned and exhausted outfit.

    For Stuart, it's not the first time Young has been given the short end of the stick by Blues selectors.

    Canberra Raiders coach Ricky Stuart has blasted the NSW Blues treatment of star second-rower as disgraceful following his omission from State of Origin.

    Stuart said if the Blues wanted passion and loyalty on the game's biggest stage then they had to show it in kind.

    He said Young's lack of minutes meant he'd either been incorrectly selected or had been treated unfairly.
