The second-stringers are nipping at the heels of Canberra's under-fire NRL stars with coach Ricky Stuart showing he won't be afraid to wield the axe if his side's slump continues.
Out-of-form hooker Danny Levi has been dropped to the bench in favour of Tom Starling while prop Emre Guler has been left out of the 17 following Canberra's miserable 48-24 defeat to Wests Tigers.
It's been a different story for the Raiders' NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg sides, who are second and first in their respective competitions.

Raiders' Origin relevance fades but greats predict 'exciting times' ahead
State of Origin series low in Raiders players, but legends believe team will rebound.

This State of Origin series is shaping up to have the least representation of Raiders players in nearly a decade, but two league greats are adamant the Green Machine will rise again.
With Hudson Young dropped by the Blues after game one and no Queensland Raiders on the Maroons radar in this series, Canberra's Origin relevance hasn't been this low since 2015 when Josh Papali'i had his lone appearance in that year's decider.
Young's omission means Wednesday night's clash at the Melbourne Cricket Ground will also be the first match since the Origin series finale in 2016 not to feature a single Raiders player.

Chevy Stewart's Origin heroics could see him rocket back into NRL selection contention, but Raiders coach Ricky Stuart says the teenager still has work to do before a return to first grade.
Several fringe Canberra players will put their hand up for an NRL call-up after a disappointing 48-24 defeat to the lowly Tigers led Stuart to consider a shake-up.
One such player making his case is Stewart, whose man-of-the-match effort in the Blues' under-19s State of Origin win last Thursday could put him in the NRL frame once more.
