    Fuming Canberra Raiders officials are lodging a formal complaint with the NRL after a controversial moment sparked questions about Cronulla's gamesmanship in their clash on Sunday night.

    Sharks trainer Daniel Holdsworth ran past Raiders halfback Jamal Fogarty as he was lining up a conversion from the sideline at a crucial point in the contest.

    Cronulla led 30-22 inside the final eight minutes. A successful conversion would have reduced the deficit to six - only for Fogarty's attempt to rocket into the goal post.

    The Canberra Raiders are set to lodge an official complaint with the NRL over the conduct of Sharks trainer Daniel Holdsworth.

    With seven minutes to go in Saturday's fixture between the sides, Raiders goalkicker Jamal Fogarty lined up a sideline conversion and missed with his side going on to lose 30-22.

    Holdsworth was seen running in the vicinity of Fogarty as he lined up the kick, with 9news and Sydney Morning Herald reporter Michael Chammas revealing on Nine's 100% Footy the Raiders will be making a call to head of football Graham Annesley.
