    Ethan Strange is back.

    It's the massive injury boost every Canberra Raiders fan wanted to hear, with coach Ricky Stuart confirming his young five-eighth was on track for the Penrith Panthers blockbuster at Canberra Stadium on Sunday.

    And in further good news, Stuart said reinforcements were on their way after the Magic Round bye.

    Zac Hosking (concussion) and Xavier Savage (ankle) were the closest to bolstering the Raiders ranks, while Josh Papali'i (calf) wasn't far behind.

    It's shaping as the biggest game of the year at Canberra Stadium with a crowd of more than 20,000 expected for the Green Machine's clash against the NRL ladder leaders.

    On top of that, Young's one of two Raiders stars returning to the side - along with Ethan Strange (ankle), touch wood - in a rematch of the "Miracle of Mudgee".

    Either that, or Timoko's hunger has gone to another level since his stint in NSW Cup at the start of the season.

    Timoko ran for an astonishing 326 metres - the second most for a centre in the NRL (behind Bradman Best's 357m in 2024).
