    Raiders give Horsburgh permission to talk to other clubs

    Horsburgh closer to leaving Raiders after permission to talk to other clubs granted.

    Corey Horsburgh's release request from the Canberra Raiders is a step closer to happening after he was given permission to talk to other clubs.

    Horsburgh has had a falling out with Raiders coach Ricky Stuart and was given permission by the club to explore his options for next season on Monday - despite being contracted to the Green Machine until the end of 2027.

    The 26-year-old has yet to speak to any clubs, but a few names have already popped up - St George Illawarra, the Dolphins, the Brisbane Broncos and Wests Tigers all potential suitors for the Queensland prop.

    The Canterbury Bulldogs have launched an investigation into footage circulating online which shows a group of Bulldogs supporters surrounding and pushing Canberra drummer Simon Tayoun.

    Tayoun has become a cult hero among NRL fans, carrying a drum to every Raiders home and away game and leading the club's "Viking clap" celebration after wins.

    After Canterbury pipped the Raiders in a seesawing 22-18 win at Belmore Sportsground on Sunday, footage showed the popular Canberra fan being surrounded by several Bulldogs supporters.
