The Roosters will have two teams come grand final, with John Strange's NRLW side booking their October 4 spot less than 24 hours after Trent Robinson's men did the same up in Brisbane.

The Tricolours prevailed 20-10 in a dramatic preliminary final against Canberra at Allianz Stadium on Saturday night, that included hair pulls and bloodied faces.

It will be the Tricolours' third consecutive NRLW grand final, after their 2024 premiership and 2025 heartbreak, where they will meet the winner on Sunday's clash between the Gold Coast and Brisbane.

It took the 2026 minor premiers just two minutes to score their first try on Saturday, but were in real jeopardy of losing their first game of the season until the final moments of the match, when halfback Tarryn Aiken sealed the deal, scoring with two minutes to spare.

The Canberra Raiders are only one win away from their first NRLW grand final appearance with only the Sydney Roosters standing in their way.

The squad won't settle for the decider. They want to be Green Machine history-makers and the squad has the perfect combination of experience and youth to make it happen.

Of the current NRLW squad, nine players remain from the original inaugural team assembled in 2023 by coach Darrin Borthwick.

Braydon Trindall will undergo off-season shoulder surgery to prepare for the Sharks' 2027 campaign after a dislocation injury.

Cronulla Sharks playmaker Braydon Trindall will undergo the knife during the off-season to get his shoulder right for the beginning of the club's 2027 campaign.

Trindall dislocated his shoulder in the opening minutes of Round 24 against the Raiders, slamming the ball down in the in-goal for a try, and popping out his shoulder in the process.

Sharks' medical team was able to pop it back in with ease, but he missed a few weeks to build back strength in the joint.

Trindall returned for the club's finals run after a patchy few weeks of form without him.
