Canberra Re-Sign Trio Amid Departures
Canberra extends contracts of Jed Stuart, Malachi Smith, and Mark Tuialii, enhancing their roster until at least 2029.

Canberra has secured the futures of Jed Stuart, Malachi Smith and Mark Tuialii, strengthening its roster beyond the 2026 season.
Stuart, who debuted in 2015, has signed through 2029 after the Raiders replaced his previous 2027 contract option with a longer commitment.
The outside back has made 28 first-grade appearances and scored 11 tries, with increased opportunities possible if Sebastian Kris joins the Gold Coast Titans.
"I'm so stoked. Growing up in Canberra, this was the club I grew up watching, so it's so special to stay here for three more years," Stuart said.

Mark Tuialii enters 2027 with a clear target: earning his first NRL appearance for Canberra after signing a contract extension through 2028.
The outside back joined the Raiders' pathways in 2023 and impressed during 2026, winning the NSW Cup Coaches' Award.
Tuialii is viewed as a potential future NRL starter, while his development will remain closely watched as he pushes for selection.
Canberra has also retained Malachi Smith until the end of 2028 after the forward made his NRL debut in the final round of 2026.

Fresh from collecting Canterbury's Player of the Year honours, Galvin has been selected in a 20-man squad to take on the PNG PM's XIII in Port Moresby on Saturday, October 3.
Newly-appointed Prime Minister's XIII coach Ben Te'o has offered Ezra Mam the chance to rebound from the Broncos disappointing 2026 season.
Like his Brisbane teammates, Mam struggled to find his best form this season, yet Teo has chosen the attacking half alongside Broncos teammate Billy Walters.
Also included in the squad is Sharks fullback Will Kennedy, Dragons Player of the Year Hamish Stewart, twin brothers Ryan and Toby Couchman, Wests Tigers half Jock Madden and Raiders hooker Owen Pattie.
