Canberra Raiders SG Ball outside back Jacob Iosefa remains in intensive care at Canberra Hospital after sustaining serious injuries in a car accident on Monday night (1 May).
Jacob was returning to Canberra from his home city of Wagga Wagga when the accident took place.
He had just signed a two-year deal with the Raiders after starring in the club’s under-19 SG Ball side in a season in which they won the minor premiership but missed out on the grand final.
Hodgson happy sharing Eels duties, targets improvement
Parramatta veteran Josh Hodgson is content to continue sharing hooker duties with rookie Brendan Hands, conceding his own form has been below standard since joining the NRL club.
The Eels signed the English 33-year-old this season with the hopes he could fill the hole left by Canterbury-bound Reed Mahoney and recapture the form produced in Canberra's run to the 2019 grand final.
But by his own admission Hodgson has not lived up to his billing on return from the ACL injury that sidelined him for the majority of last season.

Broncos legend Gorden Tallis says he understands why Jack Wighton has decided to leave the Raiders but believes moving clubs for less money is “unusual” in this day and age.
Last week it was confirmed Wighton would be joining the South Sydney Rabbitohs from next season on a deal of up to four years, reportedly worth around $850,000 to $900,000 per season.
The move raised eyebrows since it was initially reported the 2019 Dally M medallist was looking for an increased pay packet as he explored his options on the open market as a free agent.
But joining an already star-studded Rabbitohs outfit featuring Latrell Mitchell, Cody Walker, Damien Cook and Cameron Murray means Wighton will actually end up taking a pay cut of around $300,000 per season.
