'Valuable at any club': Raider linked to move as new 'Mals' revealed
The Canberra Raiders celebrated new "Mals" while Tom Starling's future with Manly and Hudson Young's status remains uncertain.

The Canberra Raiders' night of nights anointed the crowning of two new "Mals" as speculation swirled about the future of another key player.
Raiders hooker Tom Starling has been linked with Manly after the emergence of Owen Pattie over the final 10 games of the season.
Starling's good mate Hudson Young's future is also up in the air after the NRL kiboshed the PNG Chiefs' lowball offer for the Canberra star.
Simi Sasagi's 2026 NRL season was so dominant he was able to miss eight games through injury and still be crowned the Mal Meninga Medallist at AIS Arena on Tuesday night.

Raiders set to meet with star player as new signing completed
The Canberra Raiders are negotiating with Hudson Young for a record contract while signing Jaiyden Hunt on a two-year deal worth $350,000.

The Canberra Raiders will look to meet with Hudson Young this week as they lock in a new signing.
Brisbane Broncos prop Jaiyden Hunt will join the Raiders on a two-year deal, reportedly worth $350,000.
The Raiders tabled Young a massive, $3.3 million, three-year contract extension, which would make him the highest-paid player in the club's history.
But he was interested in an offer from NRL expansion club PNG Chiefs, who were willing to give him a three-year deal worth up to $950,000 a season.

Under the knife: the Raiders set for off-season surgeries
Four Canberra Raiders players, including Simi Sasagi, will undergo surgery this off-season but are expected to return for pre-season trials.

Simi Sasagi's already had his done, but there's another four Canberra Raiders set to have surgery this off-season.
Thankfully, they're all expected to return in time for the Raiders' pre-season trials.
It's one of the few positives to come out of the Green Machine's disappointing 2026 NRL season - having missed out on finals its players are now able to get surgeries done earlier and can be back from their rehabilitation sooner.
In addition to Sasagi, Savelio Tamale, Matt Timoko, Kaeo Weekes and Joe Tapine will also need surgery in the coming weeks.
