    Hudson Young has one game to force his way into the Australian squad after a grand final hero withdrew from the end-of-season games and turned the Prime Minister's XIII into a genuine trial match if he gets the chane to play.

    Young and the rest of the men's PM's XIII squad are gathering in Brisbane on Wednesday to start training ahead of a clash against Papua New Guinea in Port Moresby on Sunday.

    But what is generally an exhibition match and a small taste of the representative arena is set to transform into an opportunity for Canberra Raiders back-rower Young.

    NRL Hall of Famer Gorden Tallis backs Cameron Munster's clearance of biting and says ex-Canberra Raider Jack Wighton should have been cleared as well.

    Melbourne Storm star Munster was accused of biting in the NRL grand final loss to Penrith, while Wighton was suspended for three games in his last game for the Green Machine - last year's elimination final against Newcastle.

    Panthers centre Paul Alamoti accused Munster of biting him in Sunday's decider, which Penrith won to create history with their fourth consecutive premiership.
