    A Cam Murray wrist injury opens the door for Canberra Raiders gun Hudson Young to make his walk-on debut for Australia.

    Murray could need a scapholunate reconstruction and he's been ruled out of the Pacific Championships final on Sunday week.

    Murray will return to Australia and see a surgeon next week.

    One Canberra Raiders' immediate future is still in doubt, while another shapes as their key re-signing to lock down before the November 1 deadline.

    The Raiders have already opened talks with Raiders flyer Xavier Savage and want to prevent other clubs from being able to talk to him by getting his signature on what's believed to be a two-year extension.

    He's one of eight Raiders whose contracts run out at the end of 2025 and will be free to talk to other clubs about signing for the 2026 season and beyond on Friday.

    They're very serious allegations, especially given a four-year-old girl fractured her hip in the incident. And it could have been so much worse.
