Jamal Fogarty's missed kicks in a narrow 13-12 loss to Canterbury raise questions about his big-game performance as he seeks improvement.

Jamal Fogarty knows his big-game composure will be freshly scrutinised but the Manly halfback is relishing the chance to prove he can be the ice-cold killer the Sea Eagles need when the game is on the line.

Fogarty described himself as "cranky" after missing two conversions and two field goal attempts in last Saturday's 13-12 loss to Canterbury.

No goalkicker is immune to an off night with the boot but Fogarty's failure to land a match-winning field goal will be the focus of further discussion as Manly's season approaches September.

Fogarty struggled to kill off close games during his time at Canberra, most notably in last year's heartbreaking finals loss to Brisbane.

John Bateman, a forward for the North Queensland Cowboys, is attracting interest from the Bradford Bulls, who are keen on bringing him back to the Northern Hemisphere next season.

Bateman first debuted for the Bulls in 2011 at just 17 years old, quickly establishing himself as one of the most impactful forwards in British rugby.

With his current contract in Townsville set to expire at the end of this season, the Bulls are reportedly eager to welcome him back to the team where he began his professional career, according to Love Rugby League.

His immense talent enabled him to transition successfully into the NRL, which is not a common achievement for players from the English game.

Will Warbrick aims to make an impact in Storm's finals push, scoring three tries in their 42-20 win over the Raiders.

Hat-trick hero Will Warbrick said that every game in a Storm jersey this year is special as he hopes to play his part in a late surge to finals footy. 

The 1.93m tall Kiwi scored three tries and was a key contributor to two more in the Storm's 42-20 victory over the Raiders, managing to snare almost every aerial ball that came his way. 

"Honestly, I've put in a lot of work during the week, and from the start of the year, and it's something that I really do try to work hard at. Sometimes I don't get rewarded, but tonight I'm glad it paid off," he told NRL.com.
