Warbrick vows to leave a lasting impression on the Storm
Will Warbrick aims to make an impact in Storm's finals push, scoring three tries in their 42-20 win over the Raiders.

Hat-trick hero Will Warbrick said that every game in a Storm jersey this year is special as he hopes to play his part in a late surge to finals footy.
The 1.93m tall Kiwi scored three tries and was a key contributor to two more in the Storm's 42-20 victory over the Raiders, managing to snare almost every aerial ball that came his way.
"Honestly, I've put in a lot of work during the week, and from the start of the year, and it's something that I really do try to work hard at. Sometimes I don't get rewarded, but tonight I'm glad it paid off," he told NRL.com.

Captain kicks Bulldogs to victory over Sea Eagles
Canterbury's Stephen Crichton secured a critical 13-12 golden-point victory over Manly, boosting their NRL finals hopes with his late field goal.

Canterbury have snatched their sixth win of the NRL season to keep their finals hopes alive with skipper Stephen Crichton landing a golden-point field goal for a 13-12 victory over Manly.
Crichton had earlier on Saturday night scored his side's first try at Accor Stadium, but his 82nd-minute effort gave the Bulldogs their third win from the last four games.
That puts some oxygen into their September finals hopes after it was starting to look out of reach after losing five on the trot in April.

Contenders collapse: How last year's top four have found themselves fighting to make finals
Last year's top four teams may all miss finals, marking a historic first in league history.

They say it's hard to get to the top, and even harder to stay there - just ask last year's top four.
For Canberra, Melbourne, Canterbury and Brisbane, the 2026 top four is out of reach, and there is a big chance all four miss the finals completely.
It would be the first time ever in league history.
It would also be the first time since 1991 all top-four teams from one year miss out on the finals the year after.
According to Code Sports stats, over the past 10 years, in order for a team to make the top eight, they need an average of 13 wins.

The TEN must see prospects in Under-19 Origin
The U-19 Origin arena showcases emerging talent, with past players advancing to the NRL since its 2022 introduction.

Whilst the men and women have dominated the Origin arena in 2026, the next generation of players get their chance to strut their talents in the U-19 Origin arena at North Sydney Oval on Thursday night.
Since the fixture was introduced in 2022, the concept has produced Origin stars such as Ethan Strange, Casey McLean, Robert Toia, Kulikefu Finefeuiaki and Jojo Fifita, who are already representing their state on the biggest stage.
Also, the likes of Paul Alamoti, Jack Bostock, Toby Couchman, Jack Howarth, Jaxon Purdue and Jye Gray have become established first-graders in the NRL level after representing their respective states in the U/19 Origin arena since the fixture was introduced in 2022.
In preparation for the contest, we are looking at five prospects per state to keep a close eye on in the contest.

Daley resists late changes for MCG Origin clash
NSW coach Laurie Daley confirms no late changes for State of Origin game two, retaining his starting lineup against Queensland, aiming for a series win.

NSW coach Laurie Daley has resisted any temptation to make late changes with the Blues and Queensland set to take the field as named for State of Origin game two.
Daley was under pressure to start bench forward Cameron Murray in a middle forward position as the Blues look to clinch the series at the MCG but had been adamant on match eve that wouldn't be happening.
He was true to his word, keeping Payne Haas and Mitch Barnett in the front-row and captain Isaah Yeo at lock for Wednesday night's showdown.
Queensland are listed 1-19 as expected with coach Billy Slater's men needing a win to square the series after losing game one 22-20 in Sydney after leading 20-0.
