Luke Brooks, after a strong season, may leave Manly for a long-term deal, aiding their salary cap and roster needs.

He is coming off arguably the best and most consistent season of his career, but Manly's Luke Brooks could be on the move.
The 31-year-old has been linked with a surprise departure from Manly, who is said to not be opposed to letting Brooks leave the club next year should he find a long-term deal elsewhere.
That is according to CODE Sports reporter Michael Carayannis, who reported on NRL 360 that Brooks' potential departure would help the Sea Eagles address their "out of whack" salary cap.
Manly could do with an upgrade at hooker and overhaul of its forward pack, with the club linked to Raiders rake Tom Starling this week.

The Panthers expect Cleary to play in their NRL preliminary final against either the Warriors or Newcastle this month despite his foot injury, with the halfback on light duties until then.
But what role he will be able to play in the World Cup is questionable, given the superstar No.7's bone-stress injury in his right foot is a result of overuse.
